the Bar
Our bar is always stocked with carefully kept real ales, a thoughtfully chosen wine list, and a warm fire in winter, or a sunny garden spot in summer. Whether you're joining us for a quiet pint with the dog, a long lunch with friends, or a cosy dinner in our book-lined library dining room, we’ll make sure you feel right at home.

the RESTAURANT
We’re passionate about creating a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere where good food, great drinks, and genuine hospitality take centre stage. At The Saracens Head, our menus celebrate the best of British cooking, with a focus on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. From our popular Sunday roasts, complete with rare beef, towering Yorkshire puddings and all the trimmings, to comforting classics like our Fat Crust Beef & Stilton Pie, 28 Day Aged Flat Iron Steak and Beef Short-Rib, there’s something here for every appetite.

Road Closures
You may have noticed that roadworks are currently taking place on Nobottle Road. Unfortunately, this means the road will be closed until September 2026 whilst the work is being completed.

We’ve shared alternative routes (see map) to help make it as easy as possible for you to continue visiting us during this time.

While this closure will inevitably have an impact on our day-to-day business, we’re hopeful that with your continued support we can get through it together. Whether you join us for a Sunday roast, lunch, drinks, or book a function, every visit truly makes a difference and is hugely appreciated.

Thank you so much for your understanding and ongoing support. We look forward to welcoming you.
